Rise Park Academy Trust Home Learning Page

Due to the ongoing school closure we have created this page to aid the parents of our children with some suggested activities you can do with your children at home. Please click the link below relevant to the year group of your child/children.

Executive Headteacher's Message:

Dear Parents/Carers,

Many thanks to all of you who have been working to support your children's learning at home, and for your submissions of completed work, together with your feedback.

As you are aware, some tasks e.g. Easter holiday projects, have already been set for some year groups, along with links to websites which can be used to supplement your child's progress in English, maths and topical work.

Whilst the timetabling of these activities will be left to your discretion, I would also like to reassure you that there is no expectation that your child completes any school work, other than that which you choose to do, during the Easter holiday break. Please ensure that both you and your child enjoy a period of rest and recuperation even if this holiday is not the same as we would normally experience.

We would love to see any holiday diaries, projects or other tasks which you may wish to undertake, along with any other pre-set tasks which your child achieves. Formalised tasks will then be available to you again as from Monday 20th April, at the start of the summer term.

Sending you all our very best wishes for a safe and healthy Easter.

Lexia Home Learning Link:

For those children who attend Lexia interventions in school you can access Lexia from home by following the instructions and link below:

Lexia Core5 Reading can be used at home for extra practice. Getting started is easy!

To use on a computer, go to www.lexiacore5.com

To use on an iPad, download the free Lexia Core5 Reading app from the App Store.

(iPad support is limited to these devices: iPad 4+, iPad Mini 3+, iPad Air+, and iPad Pro.)

The first time your child uses Core5, you may need to enter the teacher email shown below. Your child can then log in with the username and password used at school.

Teacher Email (for setup): lexia@risepark-jun.havering.sch.uk

It is important that your child works without any help while using Core5. All of the work your child does at home is recorded and reported to school.

The children should all know their usernames and passwords but if your child can't please contact the school and we will do our best to forward it to you.

Pupil Property Collection

Dear Parents/Carers,

If your child has left any personal property at school e.g. P.E.kit, other uniform, lunchboxes etc. then please do not visit the school site at the present time in order to collect any of these items.

Once it is safe to do so, these will all be available, in class boxes, for you to collect from a nominated central point, details of which will be advised to you as soon as possible. With thanks for your continued support and understanding.
